Resetting the BX Tap Timers: Before a hard reset, we recommend that the timer is removed from the iGardener app – use the ‘bin’ icon at the top of the page to remove the highlighted tap timer prior to reset –
BX1 hard reset – remove battery compartment for 2min, press and hold button as you push the compartment back in, device will flash blue quickly, let go of button. Add timer back into iGardener.
BX2 hard reset – move dial to ‘OFF’, press and hold the button, watch for 3 quick red flashes, let go of button. Add timer back into iGardener.
BX4 hard reset – move dial to ‘OFF’ press and hold the button, watch for 3 quick red flashes, continue to hold for 6 seconds, 3 more red flashes will occur, let go of button. Add timer back into iGardener.

Scheduling Options
7 Day – allows manual settings for each individual day
Interval Days – watering will occur every few days, as set by the user. Ideal for homes with automated watering restrictions.
Odd Days – watering will occur on the odd days of the month, with the option to skip the 31st of the month. Ideal for homes with automated watering restrictions.
Even Day – watering will occur on the even days of the month. Ideal for homes with automated watering restrictions.
Cycle – watering schedule will observe an allocated delay time and water for the allocated run time on selected days. Ideal for misting systems, GreenWalls and greenhouses.

Preparing tap timers for winter
Be sure you check with your local water authorities for any sprinkler bans
We recommend either reducing the watering time or turning it off completely
In really cold climates, we suggest that you remove the battery and make sure there is no water left inside the tap timer
If you live in an area that gets frost, we recommend taking off the tap timer completely and storing it away for the meantime
Why did Holman design the bx2 with a path for water to ingress through the valve plug connection in the back of the unit ? Silicone sealant would have prevented me having a water filled electronics compartment.

Disconnects Bluetooth
It sometimes disconnects from Bluetooth and will stay on which is really bad for the unreliability factor. Have had to remove battery and reinstate to reset and get going again. Still not sure if I can trust it

Failed after 4 months
After 4 months power failed without any form of notification from app, I realised after 4 days so plants died. Replaced with new batteries and still didn't work and noticed blue discharge. No troubleshooting information but seems like some form of internal corrosion.

Unreliable product
I bought the BX2 to water my Japenese maples in hope it will helps to keep my garden watering schedule during two weeks holiday in the US. It runs fine and on schedule when I was still at home. Unfortunately, it completely dead after I left home for a fews days, as a result of lacking of water, two of my rare Japenese Maples, and one of my black bamboo were dead. Luckily that I check my camera early and call my friend come over and replace the water timer with other brand when I was in the State. What can I do with this junk when I dont have a reciept and box. I bought it at Bunning.

Disconnects all the time
Disconnects from Bluetooth all the time. Turned on for schedule watering in the morning. It ran for 6 hours non stop and flooded my yard. Extremely unreliable!

Don't purchase
Had problems since the day I brought them cost me over $1000.00 alot more trying to keep my garden looking nice but has never looked any good since putting your product on my property 2 year of stuffing around with this faulty product not a happy garnder at all don't waste your money

Leaking
We have had our console for about a month. Noticed a couple of weeks ago there was lots of water on the floor near the tap. Ran the taps and it’s leaking from the console.

BX2 Tap Timer
Purchased September 2022 for front lawn and garden. Easy setup and worked great although only used both zones on manual timer setting. Decided to set a 7 day cycle, instructions clear but nothing would start. Called customer support - thank you to Chris who was most patient and helpful. We were programming app correctly but when installed had mistakenly left timer dial to OFF instead of RUN (which still allows manual settings to work) Make sure dial is on RUN. Works perfectly. Now purchasing BX1 for rear garden. Many thanks again to Chris.
