What is ‘no watering’ mode and how can I toggle it on and off?

The ‘no watering’ mode on your QuikDial Tap Timer stops any automated programs you have in place, while still allowing manual programming of the Tap Timer. This can be beneficial in the winter months to save on water usage.

Toggle ON/OFF

Press the main dial down for three seconds
The ‘no watering’ icon will appear and stop your automated watering programs
When you want to turn it back on, press the main dial down for three seconds
The ‘no watering’ icon will disappear, and your automated watering programming will continue

Preparing tap timers for winter

Be sure you check with your local water authorities for any sprinkler bans
We recommend either reducing the watering time or turning it off completely
In really cold climates, we suggest that you remove the battery and make sure there is no water left inside the tap timer
If you live in an area that gets frost, we recommend taking off the tap timer completely and storing it away for the meantime

Useless

Do not buy/ purchase! You have been warned. I’ve purchased 2 of these and returned them 3 times! The last station will not turn off fully or not turn off at all!
The meth head down the road is more reliable and easier to interact with!
All support have to say “ if you have the receipt you can always return it, and get another one “ . Dave yourself the bother and buy something else! This all happened in a 3 month time frame.

Horrible piece of $hit

Absolutely terrible to set up. So frustrating, time consuming and a waste of money. Feel ripped off. DO NOT BUY

Definitely NOT QUIK DIAL & safely set & forget!

Purchased from Bunnings: 6 days later and reciting the instruction manual I found the you tube tutorial. Followed it precisely on slow motion for another day, employed a garden handyman (3 hours) but he could find the manual test run setting either. Waited until day 1 setting and nothing happened! Another 2 days trying to follow manual and you tube so took it back to Bunnings but staff that have been in gardening ‘for years’ couldn’t help either … both had spend over an hour each the previous week with irrate customers. False advertising “Quik Dial” is a trade offense in Australia! Holman’s you need to be sure your product is fool proof before releasing it to the unsuspecting customer.

Zone 1 will not switch off

Zone 1 will not switch off, drenching an 80y.o lady's backyard. I recently returned a single outlet timer to Bunnings for her for the opposite reason. It would not switch on. Quality control and attention to detail has slipped to the point where despite many years owning Holman tap timers I'm thinking Gardena which is made in Germany may be a better option.

Does the job

Running a sprinkler, 30m weeping hose, 20m weeping hose and regular hose off this. Only issue is a minor reduction in water pressure for the hose which in our case can be managed through using nozzle settings.

Works well

Initial setup is a bit of a faff, but after one false start the system’s working well for my purposes.
Read a few reviews about leak issues but haven’t experienced any. Only been running the system for a few days but working well so far.

Horrible piece of kit

Absolute waste of money.. As everyone says it’s hard to set up, minimal functions and actually reduces water pressure by around half so sprinklers at the end of the line have no water coming out of them.. Roughly about 25m away from tap to end of line with 13mm poly line and sprinklers every 2m

Too complicated

Spent hours trying to program.
Impossible.

As most people are saying, Don’t waste your money or time, Very painful to set up
Returned for a refund.

Not so easy!!

The manual is a nightmare! Read it several times, its not in sequential steps... and misses a critical point to hold button for 3 seconds to finally verify your settings! Not in manual or online video. Only worked it out by reading the suspend section and trying it!! Otherwise it works!
