Absolute crap
Had it for less than a year and for some unknown reason it won't turn on automatically and even on manual I have to press start button several times for it to run.
Hi Joe, we're sorry that your BX4 is not working. If your tap timer is outside during Winter, this can affect its longevity. In really cold climates, we suggest that you remove the battery and make sure there is no water left inside the tap timer. If you live in an area that gets frost, we recommend taking off the tap timer completely and storing it away in the meantime for the longevity of the product. Thank you.

Second unit to fail within 6 months
This is my second unit within 6 months, both have done the same thing. At first I thought it was flat batteries so I have replaced them, and still absolutely no power to the device and this second device is less than 2 months old. Water has made its way in on both devices through to where the batteries are stored, don't know if that's the issue, but this one will be going back as well and I will not be buying another.

Very Good Product
Bought the BX4 to replace an older manual Holman 4 outlet timer tap. Works really well and easy to program especially when times need to be adjusted for daylight savings and water rationing. Can just stand on my front deck and reprogram without having to fight through the garden to do it. Would recommend.

BX4 Rubbish !
I have had 2 of these in the last 18 months, they don't last through one summer.
The fitting that connect to the Tap break off and the internals end up giving up the ghost after 6 or so months.
I should have known better after experiancing the several BX1's I purchased.

Great in Theory however not reliable
I have a BX4 and a BX2 and overall I am on the fence about being happy with them despite issues with my watering setup. I guess there are very limited options in terms of Bluetooth timers. WiFi ones are just too expensive at the moment so despite the issues. I’ll be happy to recommend the products The app works fine, but it certainly isn’t natural. If you aren’t great with a phone, find someone who can help.
My setup on the BX4 and BX2 consists of pressure restrictor to 300KPa, flow discs, weeper hose and hose end sprinklers. I’ll probably switch to a proper irrigation next year. I’ll start off with the bigger issues. 1 - If you are going to pair this specifically with the Holman weeper hose and their included flow discs, be very wary that they will produce a very loud high pitched whine which can be heard through closed doors and windows. I had to end up using the white flow disc to stop it, but that has its own issues. If you only going to use this with some other flow device, pressure regulator or a irrigation system you probably wont have the high pitch whine issues. 2 – with the BX4 Iended up repalcing 2 under warranty and i think its a power/battery issue, Somehow water floods he battery compartment or internally which gave me purple warning lights. The purple lights are not described in the instructions but starting working again 2 days later. 3 – with the BX2 I am having a intermittent issue where sometimes the watering doesn’t start. I had to mess around in the app to delay the watering by a few minutes after the first “zone” finishes. Anyway I’ll keep monitoring this. I can certainly hear the BX2 trying to turn on and off the zone! Small issues, after 1.5months of ownership it looks like the text and red/green colour is starting to fade

So good
This is so versatile and easy to program. I bought it to automate the watering of my garden and lawn while on holidays. Before I had multiple timers on multiple taps that were difficult and confusing to get right. I am so happy with this device.

Just bought today Fri 11/03/1922 BX4 Bluetooth tap timer.
My last Holman gave up the ghost today it was not that old, the reason was water ingress from a leaking tap up to today it had served me well. I have purchased a BX4 today and downloaded the required app, found it reasonably easy to set up and program and at 81 years that's saying something, I have covered the Bluetooth tap timer with a rubber shield to reduce the chance of water ingress. this is my only complaint about these products, why should we need to cover equipment that the manufacturer knows it will be used out doors and subjected to all weather conditions. I have three previous models in my shed that failed in the same fashion as my last one, the replacement cost me $129.00.
