Resetting the BX Tap Timers:
Before a hard reset, we recommend that the timer is removed from the iGardener app – use the ‘bin’ icon at the top of the page to remove the highlighted tap timer prior to reset –

BX1 hard reset – remove battery compartment for 2min, press and hold button as you push the compartment back in, device will flash blue quickly, let go of button. Add timer back into iGardener.

BX2 hard reset – move dial to ‘OFF’, press and hold the button, watch for 3 quick red flashes, let go of button. Add timer back into iGardener.

BX4 hard reset – move dial to ‘OFF’ press and hold the button, watch for 3 quick red flashes, continue to hold for 6 seconds, 3 more red flashes will occur, let go of button. Add timer back into iGardener.

Scheduling Options

  • 7 Day – allows manual settings for each individual day
  • Interval Days – watering will occur every few days, as set by the user. Ideal for homes with automated watering restrictions.
  • Odd Days – watering will occur on the odd days of the month, with the option to skip the 31st of the month. Ideal for homes with automated watering restrictions.
  • Even Day – watering will occur on the even days of the month. Ideal for homes with automated watering restrictions.
  • Cycle – watering schedule will observe an allocated delay time and water for the allocated run time on selected days. Ideal for misting systems, GreenWalls and greenhouses.

Concept good but having trouble setting up scheduling on interval days

User guide not the best does not say when you save and update as it does not seem to work. Am using odd days for zone one and 7 days for zone 2. 3 and 4 will use manual.

Good at the moment

Product seems to be working OK but instruction book needs up dating No instruction on unit itself regarding to run or off switch

My BX4 lasted 3 months

Listen to all the other reviews. This is not a good quality product. Our BX4 died after 3 months and almost took our garden with it.

Can't be bothered going into all the details for why this was such a waste of money. I've since bought an Orbit 4 Station unit and the difference in quality is astonishing. Do not waste your time with this BX4 product.

The Bluetooth failed. The system leaked. I needed to go through a laborious process removing batteries and pairing my phone every single time I wanted to program the system with any change.

I bought it from Bunnings and paid the price for shopping based on convenience. Will never buy a Holman Industries product again.

Do not buy.

I am on my 3rd 4 outlet unit in under 3 years. Unfortunately, I haven’t kept receipts to verify my purchases. All the units worked beautifully for the first few months. They were just what I wanted. Then, around a year mark, stopped turning on automatically and eventually even manual setting didn’t work, valves wouldn’t open. On my second unit, only one valve opened when using manually when I gave up on it. And this occurred when we were away on vacation. My last unit pictured is not working automatically now, just manually. Cannot recommend them for the long term.

Excellent so far

I must admit that after reading the reviews I was somewhat sceptical, however common products in the past and never really had too many issues.
I cannot talk on the construction or longevity of the product as I've only just purchased it, however as an old tech head I found reading the instructions carefully I had no issues programming the precise patterns that I wanted. The only issue I could find was that I could not turn off starts/synced function once activated. Not really a big issue but a small glitch in the matrix.
Excluding longevity and construction this device seems perfect for my needs and I would recommend it.

Absolute rubbish, do not waste your money.

Already had one replaced. The second one is as inconsistent as the first. The hardware is poor, and the software worse, and the unit can only be paired with one mobile. Out of warranty, I'm planning on removing it and smashing it so that I get at least a little satisfaction from it!

Great but break down

I’ve had two of the BX4 timers and after a year of owning them both had the issue of displaying a solid red LED which should mean low batteries. I tried 3 different sets of batteries, even buying more brand new ones just in case of a bad batch. Unfortunately the red LED persisted.

I really loved the product while it works because it has Bluetooth and the app is great with more settings than most other systems out there.

Bunnings had an issue with exchanging them because they were more than a year old so just be warned. Hopefully you’ll have better luck than me but no more for me.

Absolute crap

Had it for less than a year and for some unknown reason it won't turn on automatically and even on manual I have to press start button several times for it to run.

Hi Joe, we're sorry that your BX4 is not working. If your tap timer is outside during Winter, this can affect its longevity. In really cold climates, we suggest that you remove the battery and make sure there is no water left inside the tap timer. If you live in an area that gets frost, we recommend taking off the tap timer completely and storing it away in the meantime for the longevity of the product. Thank you.

Second unit to fail within 6 months

This is my second unit within 6 months, both have done the same thing. At first I thought it was flat batteries so I have replaced them, and still absolutely no power to the device and this second device is less than 2 months old. Water has made its way in on both devices through to where the batteries are stored, don't know if that's the issue, but this one will be going back as well and I will not be buying another.
