WX1 Tap Timer and Wi-Fi Hub

After reading the reviews I was reluctant to try this device out.
On first impressions and commissioning the Hub was easy to instal and responsive, so was the Timer until it started to drop out every 24 hours. Unfoirtunately, Support could only blame the environment for the dropouts, a bit of a copout as the company I work for supportsHome and Commercial Automation users.
There is a firmware problem withthese devices which Holmann do not want to acknowledge, luckily for me it's baclk to Bunnings for a refund.
You might get lucky and find one that is reliable for me it's back to a wired system.

Bought the system so we can water our gardens when we are away. So easy to set up and with the assistance of the Holman App we can turn the system on for the amount of time we want for our watering. Highly recommend this system for anyone.

Great little tap timer, easy to set up and connected to the WiFi immediately, will purchase another soon.

Very happy with product so far (day 1), tested all my scenarios and works as expected.

Something I am very happy about and is good to know for anyone buying is that all commands and settings are stored and executed on the tap timer, which means the timer never needs to rely on WIFI or mains power to turn off.

Even manual watering, it sends the command to turn on along with the duration to stay on for (eg. manual water for 15mins), in other words you can turn it on manually for 15mins with your phone, turn off your WIFI (unplug hub) and it will still turn off no worries (coz everything is stored/sent to the tap timer).

If anything changes (happiness level), I will be sure to post again.

p.s. watch the water proof rating IP54 (which is low), rang support and they said it's designed for taps up against houses (they claim sees less rain), I have mine under complete cover for this reason.

Firstly, I could not get it to connect to my home WIFI, so I contacted Holman Support and they were very friendly and helpful and we eventually got it connected. I suggest if initially you don't have any luck connecting to your WIFI, don't hesitate to contact the support team.
Secondly, the range seems quite good. I am on 1 acre and the distance from the hub to the furtherest Timer Tap is about 70m with the hub inside the house, so happy with that.
Thirdly, It would be great if you could connect more than 4 Timer Taps to the hub, but I guess Holman want to sell more Hubs!!!!
Fourthly, It would be nice if you could manually start all Timer Taps to run consecutively from one Manual Control Point in the App.
And lastly, I have been using the Hub and 3 Timer Taps for about 4 weeks every day and I am very happy with their operation, so far they seem to be reliable. I would definitely recommend.

Initially the App would not recognise that my Bluetooth was on and so i could not connect, despite trying various fixes... Tried again a few hours later and it worked.. inconsistent. MY intial reaction was to repack and take it back to bunnings.

APP. Not intuitive, but it does work. The scheduling is not the most straight forward. The biggest draw back is that it is ONLY LIMITED to 3 watering starts... i wanted to run the tap for 2min every 2hrs for our Western Australian summer conditions, but found i was limited to only 3 starts..... why? ...seriously why this limitation?????? So i am going to have to work around it by creating a schedule/scene.

PRO: It works, in its limited functionality. It has potential but is crippled by its limited functionality and poor user friendiness. Hopefully an update to the app shortly............. if you are listening.

Not simple to connect to the net and time consuming plus frustrating

Red and white light flashing won’t connect. New battery’s… Disappointing after only one week from new.

Failed after only one season. Will no longer connect to wifi. Tried everything all to no avail.
