30m Battery Powered Hose Reel

The document was written with very small print on a coloured paper that was very hard to to see and read.even with glasses on.
The hose is excellent and is easy to use and the electric winder is so easy and keeps our OT Grand daughter happy that we will not fall over the grounded hose.

Had two unit for the last couple of years and the bottom has depressed so that the unit keeps falling off the wall. Poor design quality.

I have had our 30m Powered Hose Reel for almost a month now & is the best hose reel we have ever had, faultless to this stage & although we are 80+ we can pull the hose out without any difficulty, this is early days yet so the passage of time will tell & it is being used regularly being Summer & have only depleted the battery by 1/3.

My first unit failed to retract after a few months so I returned it to Bunnings and the swapped it in March 2021. The replacement has already stopped retracting just like the first one. I’ve used this hose no more than 5 times since replacing it in March. Very disappointed with this product.

This is my second unit, it is in addition to one I purchased two years ago and is still going strong, they are that good. I now have one out front and another for the backyard. Pull the hose out, and it doesn't retract or need pulling and flicking to stop it retracting, so much easier to control. The only minor issue is that the bracket holes were different to the Holman 30m manual hose reel I was replacing.

First thing they dont tell you is you have to be Hercules to pull the hose out against the geared motor. Unachievable for older people.
Second thing the hose does not retract all the way but stops 2-3 metres short-useless
Lastly - which inspired me to write a review, The battery just died after only 5 months winter use, ie. not much.
All the lights flash and wont go off until it goes flat and in the meanwhile wont power the hose.
This is $200 I wish I kept in my pocket.
Based on my experience I would never buy this and wish I had money back to buy a plain hose reel.

Let me start by saying I have tried many hose reels including Hoselink which was great, until it wasn't. This battery powered Holman one is the best by far. It is no effort at all and I've had it for about 1 year and it still works really well. When I reel it in I use a rag to guide the hose in and so no dirt gets into the housing. I think this prolongs it's life. The only negative is that the hose isn't fully kink free and there is a little bit that does kink from time to time. Other than that it's fantastic and I would gladly purchase another if mine dies.

Easy to set up, works well and makes watering hassle free

I suffer from arthritis in the hip and this hose reel has made being in the garden a lovely experience again. I don't need to tackle messy hoses on the ground or pulling in a hose with manual retraction. The battery lasted 7 months with regular use, and required approximately 5 hours to charge so was ready to go the next morning. Really happy with this hose!

Great for a few months (3) from install date use then the battery appears to lock up can find no repair manual for this type of problem all led's light up and unit will not return
