FAQ

FAQ

What is ‘no watering’ mode and how can I toggle it on and off?

The ‘no watering’ mode on your QuikDial Tap Timer stops any automated programs you have in place, while still allowing manual programming of the Tap Timer. This can be beneficial in the winter months to save on water usage.

  • The ‘no watering’ icon will appear and stop your automated watering programs

Preparing tap timers for winter

  • Be sure you check with your local water authorities for any sprinkler bans
  • We recommend either reducing the watering time or turning it off completely
  • In really cold climates, we suggest that you remove the battery and make sure there is no water left inside the tap timer
  • If you live in an area that gets frost, we recommend taking off the tap timer completely and storing it away for the meantime

Wish I’d read these reviews before buying

Terrible manual, terrible timer. Manual one station wont work. If I need to replace the batteries I loose all the programs I’ve entered. I’m chucking it in the bin, accepting that I’ve done my money and reading the reviews carefully before purchasing again.

It's a shocker

I've written instruction manuals in the past and the instruction booklet with this fails to meet the standard. Took it back to Bunnings to get them to help set it up and they found it difficult and when I attached it to the watering system only 2 of the 3 outlets which were supposedly set up worked and one didn't turn off. What a waste of money!!!

Great timer at a good price

Excellent and versatile device. You need to spend some time to study how to set it up, but once done works perfectly

Rubbish Instructions

Have tried to program this before setting it up at customers and can't set up more than 1 station as instructions are terrible.

Raised a complaint with Bunnings as I am a tradie and they shouldn't be selling this stuff. I can set most timers without looking at a manual but this is crap

Frustrating

I have the order 2023 model. Way too complex to setup bad layout of controls.

Worst user guide ever

The unit works. but worst set up manual I ever seen , throw it away and start pushing buttons and work it out myself

Good luck getting it to work

I have used tap timers in the past that have been super easy to set. This unit is a nightmare. The instructions don't make sense and if you do go onto the website for FAQs the link doesn't work either. Don't bother. Buy something else.

Quick Dial CO6004

Nothing quick about it and is absolutely useless and waste of money. I highly recommend you consider anything else but this unit.

No good

Just installed this system and I found that zone 4 cannot be switched off.

Works Perfectly

Read the manual, easy setup, works perfectly. I now have 3 sequential watering lines in my vegy garden. A spare for the next bed. It is coordinated with the pump on my dam, which operates using wifi and electric timers. Perfect.
I have made a weatherproof cover the ensure it lasts outdoors.
So far so good.
