Super disappointing, don’t waste your money

Just had my second warrenty replacement fail on me and will no longer retract after 2 years and 1 month of use (same issue I had with the first). Very disappointing considering I was under the impression that spending the extra for a “good, reputable” brand would mean I was buying quality. Reel had a very easy life only being used a maximum of 2 times a week, gently retracted and kept in the shade under cover.

Don’t be fooled by their 4 star review on their website. Bunnings shows they have an overall rating of 2.5 stars with 131 1 star reviews and 71 5 star reviews.

Mechanism fail

Had one of these for a year, now the mechanism has sh!t itself. Hose only rolls up about a 3rd of the length. It made a hell of a noise twice and rolled the hose up shorter every time. $140 at Bunnings down the drain.

Disappointed

i have had the 30 m Holman retractable hose for 6 months. I decided to purchase the Holman thinking it would be a better quality product. It is a very heavy hose to pull, other brands i discovered were much easier. Much better for my health. Also, it has begun to leak from inside the casing. Disappointing

New retractable hose

I’m trying Holman as the other much dearer product didn’t last as long as they advertised, so I’m giving this retractable hose a go . So far ver good.

Mechanism will fail...

My second hose reel has failed to retract under normal use..same as the first, the return spring mechanism destroyed itself..photo attached. Have changed brands..

Exactly what I need

Used other brands before but never lasted as long as I thought they would outside
The Holman reel has kept its reputation and quality.
The hose comes out smoothly and retracts nicely
The 30m length hose is perfect for the long run to cover the whole front yard.
Even brought another one for my parents house.
Highly recommended

Garbage product!!!

First use and the hose all rolls up on one side and jams up so only rolls up a third of the hose. Didn’t keep the receipt so stuck with the piece of cr&p. I guess you get what you pay for! Have a Pope one out the back that has been going for years.

Spring failure and a leak

I have 2 of these and they were easy to install and worked fine for a year and a few months. Now the spring keeps failing in one and the other has developed a leak from the inside. Can’t get access to fix it.
