POWER ON
Insert AAA battery (not included) into battery compartment.
Press and hold button for 2 seconds. The green light will flash 3 times to indicate the Digital Moisture Sensor is set to ‘Automatic Mode’.
USING SENSOR
Insert the Moisture Sensor into soil, ensuring to compact soil around the sensor. For most indoor plants, insert sensor 4–5cm deep.
AUTOMATIC MODE
Moisture Levels
- Normal (61–100% soil humidity)Green light flashes once every 2 hours.
- Moderate (16–60% soil humidity)Orange light will flash every 6 seconds.
- Dry (0–15% soil humidity)Red light will flash every 6 seconds. After watering to a normal level, sensor will flash green every 2 hours.
MANUAL MODE
When sensor is powered on and inserted into the soil, click the button to get an instant reading.
Moisture Levels

POWER OFF
Press and hold button for 2 seconds. The red light will flash 3 times and the sensor will power down.
ADDITIONAL TOPS
For plants with high watering needs, insert sensor 4cm deep into the soil.
For plants with lower watering needs (e.g. succulents) insert device 8cm deep into soil, if possible.
To prevent bending, hold the black stake with your fingers when inserting sensor into the soil.
