Operation of rain gauge

Unfortunately the rain gauge still is not operating at all. Have replaced the sensor which you supplied cleaned the terminals applied some wd40 but will not display rainfall in house. Moved the unit within 10 meters of display unit. Possibly the rain board sensor from the paddle or flipper register is faulty?
