Helios Wi-Fi Weather Station

The data collection aspects of the devise seem quite good. They track closely what BOM is reporting at a nearby site, so accuracy seems pretty good (although it has not rained since I got this).
The big downside of this product is the inablity to get the data out to use for other things. Only one aspect of the data can be downloaded at one time (i.e., just indoor humidity) so each data type has to exported/imported individually. This limits also what can be downloaded as what is downloaded is limited to what is displayed on the apps history page (indoor/outdoor T & H, press, and wind speed). Hence, things like solar intensity & UV data are not available for further inspection.
Additionally, the downloadable data are "shrunk" to just daily averages for things like temperature & humidity, so good luck finding the extremes in your data. I would be lovely if a single package which includes the max and min data and all the info collected could find a way into a single download.

Such a detailed home weather station, certainly better then a lacrosse one that I had that wasn’t really made for Australia no complaints.
And as for other reviewers leaving poor reviews not saying smart doesn’t work with Google it’s not intended to and they shoulda read things properly before purchase.
But if you sue with Holman app works perfectly fine I have a few other products all work together just fine

DOES NOT WORK WITH GOOGLE HOME OR ALEXA!
It is advertised as become a smart gardener, but only works on the holman home app and only with other select holman products. I had purchased to connect with google home and control other household items when weather changes, but as I have now found out is completely useless to me!
Also the wind speed seems lower than actual.
Hoping to refund purchase. Expensive at $400 odd bucks

I am very disappointed in the Helios product. For a top-of-the-line unit it lacks essential capabilities. I wish I had closely read the reviews before purchase as it is not fit for my purposes. The data it collects cannot be used by any other system - no Weather Underground integration like the Aspect, and your collected data is only available via the Holman Home app. The app's export function is so restricted it is utterly useless. I cannot integrate this with my other home automation systems.

It's a decent unit, accurate display, all in one and easy to setup.
On the down side, the mobile app can be slow to update. If your looking to keep a history then forget this product. You can export stats to email in Excel format, but only each INDIVIDUAL stat and not all of the stats in one export package. Where the history is stored, and how long for, is certainly not included in the description or instructions. It works as advertised, however, as this is Holman's flagship weather station, I am highly surprised that it is not allowed to connect to Wunderground, or any other internet weather site. This is disappointing considering cheaper weather stations offer this connectivity in their software.The Holman Home software app will keep you at the customer support help door for hours while you work out it's features and capabilities.

The AAA batteries in the display unit last, at best, 8 days, of course when these are changed out the history disappears.
The sunrise and sunset times are around 30 to 40 minutes out and the wind reading, which doesn't do knots, is nowhere near accurate.
The outdoor unit is set in such a position so as to minimise any obstacles that may cause inaccurate readings.
Given a price tag of around $400 AUD, I'd have to say it's not value for money..

Very happy with the station. Wifi from the unit to the display is good - have the station about 40m away and sync is solid.
Readings look accurate.
One issue has been the time on the display keeps moving forward one hour - have to delete the station from the app and reconnect it to get the time correct.

I am quite happy with the weather station. Seems to be displaying the correct information. Nice and neat all in one unit. Easy to install.
The time syncs with the internet which being in Victoria and Daylight Savings is an incorrect time even though the zone is set to Melbourne.
The wifi link to the outdoor unit is good although the link to the iPhone has dropped out a couple of times even though the unit is next to the modem.

The app on the iPhone could use a darker blue colour to help visibility issues. I like the local UV Index - very handy for me.The Heat Index displays L.LL and the Wind Chill displays H.HH 98% of the time.
Not sure if this is a bug or just the limited ranges of these indexes. Overall I am very happy with the station.This is the first full station I have owned.

This is my second holeman station. its a Good unit, accurate display, all in one and easy to setup.

On the down side the mobile app is amateurish, Poorly laid out, stat's missing and inaccurate. Big problem is no connectivity to wunderground. I would not recommended station without a decent software upgrade.

The weather station is well made and seems to give accurate data when compared to the BoM. Very happy with it so far but will give another review in 12 months to see how it fares in the weather here in QLD.
The Holman app however is a disappointment as it has several bugs which could be fixed quite easily in the next update so hopefully someone at Holman Industries reads this review. If they do they are welcome to contact me for further information.
