FAQ

My tap timer makes a funny noise and does not open.

If that is the case please try the following recommended solutions:

  • If you are running a low-pressure drip system, you need to install an Air Release Valve (102646) at the highest point of your system and above your drippers.
This breaks this the air in the drip line and allows to suck in air through the air release valve and prevents the drippers from blocking due to dirt.
This also allows for the diaphragm to work properly.

I have set the run time and interval on my timer and pressed the Enter button, but nothing happens?

Your timer will not run until the interval time has elapsed. It was a feature of our old timer design that the unit would open and run upon setting, however, this feature has been removed.

Can I set my timer to come on at a specific time?

As there is no clock or calendar in this particular timer, it cannot be set to a certain time. Once you have set a time and pressed ENTER, your timer will begin its countdown and water once the times has elapsed.

If I use Manual mode, will I need to reset my timer?

NO. If you turn the dial to MANUAL, your timer will run for the set time. It will turn off after this time and resume its programme. If you do not return the dial to the pre-set INTERVAL, it will still remember its programme.

How do I reset my timer?

Simply remove the battery for 5-10 mins then reinsert. Dial the new programme and press ENTER.

Is it OK to use my timer over winter?

We do not recommend the use of the timer over the winter period. It will not handle low temperatures. Below 3-degree Celsius will damage the timer. We advise that the timer be removed from the tap or allowed to drain if left on the tap.

My timer will not shut-off after running its programme, why is this happening?

Solenoid timers are not recommended for short run drip or micro-spray irrigation. You may need a low pressure tap timer for this (CO1603) or to introduce a pressure reducer above the timer.

Can I get spare parts for my timer?

. Yes, some parts are available for this timer. Please call our Head Office on 1300 716 188 7.30AM to 4.00PM AWST.
