Scene Automation Example - On Sunday if the WX8 9V battery needs replacing then send an app notification

Using your connected WX8 create an Automation scenario that sends a notification to the Message Centre in the Holman Home app after checking every Sunday if the WX8 Irrigation Controller 9V battery needs replacing.

Scenario screen

  1. From the Scene screen with Automation chosen, choose + (the top right hand corner)

  2. Choose A device status changes
    3. Create Scene screen

  3. Choose the WX8
    4. All Devices screen

  4. Scroll down and choose 9V Battery Voltage
    5. Select Function screen

  5. Choose <, use the slider to make the value 6.5 and then choose Next

  6. From the Then section choose +
    7. Set up task screen

  7. Choose Send notification
    8. Create Scene screen

  8. Choose Message Center and then choose Next
    9. Select Notification Method screen

  9. From the If section choose +
    10. Create new Scene screen

  10. Choose Schedule

  11. Setup a time - 8am in this example and then choose Once

  12. Select the appropiate day/days to check - Sunday in this example and then choose <
    13. Repeat screen

  13. Choose Next

  14. Choose When any condition is met
    15. Create new Scene screen

  15. Choose When all conditions are met
    16. Add Condition screen

  16. Choose ... to give the scenario a better name
    17. Create new Scene screen

  17. Tap in the default name and edit it. Pressing x to remove it allows for easier editing. Then choose OK

  18. Check everything is correct and then choose Save
    19. Create new Scene screen

  19. Choose Yes to start using the new Automation
    20. Create new Scenescreen

  20. View all your Automation scenarios. Note it is possible to disable the Automation scenario using the toggle in the red box below
