Scene Automation Example - Water Zone 1 @ 7am on Sun, Tue, Thu & Sat and send an app notification

Using your connected WX8 create an Automation scenario that will water Zone 1 at 7am on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and send an app notification.

Note: This automation will not be influenced by any attached Rain Sensor and so will water regardless.
Note: It is not possible to water more than one Zone at a time unless you choose Start A, Start B or Start C.

Scenario screen

  1. From the Scene screen with Automation chosen, choose + (the top right hand corner)

  3. Choose For a Schedule
  4. Create Scene screen

  5. Choose a time - 7am in this example and then choose Once
  6. Schedule screen

  7. Tick the appropriate days of the week you need the schedule to run and then choose <
  8. Repeat screen

  9. Choose Next

  11. From the Then section choose +
  12. Set up task screen

  13. Choose Run the device
  14. Create Scene screen

  15. Choose WX8
  16. All Devices screen

  17. Choose Zone 1
  18. Select Function screen

  19. Tick the on Switch and then choose Save

  21. Choose Next
  22. Select Function screen

  23. From the Then section choose +
  24. Create new Scene screen

  25. Choose Send notification
  26. Edit Name screen

  27. Choose Message Center and then choose Next
  28. Edit Name screen

  29. Choose ... to give the scenario a better name

  31. Tap in the default name and edit it. Pressing x to remove it allows for easier editing. Then choose OK

  32. Confirm everything is correct and then choose Save
  33. Creat new Scene screen

  34. Choose Yes to start using the new Automation

  36. View all your Automation scenarios. Note it is possible to disable the Automation scenario using the toggle in the red box below
